Return Policy
Buying a painting online means choosing it without seeing it on your wall. If it isn't right for you, you can send it back.
14-day returns
You have 14 days from the day you receive your painting to tell me if you'd like to return it. From EU countries, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, the return is free: I would arrange and pay for the return shipping.
From the rest of the world, you pay for the return shipping (usually around EUR 30-100), and I refund the value of the painting, but not the initial €50 shipping fee.
Taxes and duties
For deliveries outside the EU, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland, any import VAT, duties or customs fees charged in your country are paid by you. They are typically lower than fees on general goods. For instance, in 2026, the UK charges a 5% VAT fee on imported artwork, though conditions may evolve over time.
How to return a painting
Your refund
I refund you within 14 days of your email, using the payment method you used. I will wait until the painting is back with me. If the painting comes back damaged because it was handled more than needed to look at it, I may deduct the loss in value.
Damaged in transit?
If a painting, including a commission, is damaged during delivery, you can return it. Tell me within 14 days of delivery and provide proof of damage during transport. I'll refund the loss in value, or in full according to the level of damage.
Commissions
A commission is painted for you. I send you a photo of the finished work and ship it only once you have approved it and made the final payment. Once approved, a commission can't be returned.
This policy doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
